Thank You to American Stage

What a fantastic two weeks developing my play, POLAR BEAR SOCIETY, with American Stage! Words cannot express my gratitude for having my newest play included in American Stage’s 21st Century Voices New Play Festival. This was the first time I heard the play read aloud by actors and the piece grew by leaps and bounds throughout the development process. The reading was exceptional–a true gift for a new playwright. Thank you, American Stage and Associate Artistic Director Kristin Clippard! A big thanks to the talented cast of young actors, Aaron Castle, Alexa Perez, and Kiara Hines, for their beautiful performances. Also thanks to Tiffany Ford for her thoughtful direction and Sadie Lockhart for her stage managing talents.

I do wish I could’ve gone down to Florida to meet everyone in real life! Instead, in true 2020 fashion, here’s a photo of me watching the reading on my laptop (in my makeshift office in my childhood bedroom) and a screenshot of the amazingly talented actors!
